THIERRY BOMPARD

As Vice President of Operations & Finance for Inns of Distinction, Thierry Bompard focuses on the development and improvement of property management systems, controls, accounting practices and financial procedures. He has extensive experience with hotels and is a graduate of the Thonon School of Hotel & Restaurant Management in France.

After the decision was made to establish the Grand Eastonian Hotel and Suites, Bompard oversaw the installation of hotel management and communications software and other infrastructure in the building and ensured that staff there was properly trained to service the hotel, which opened a short six months later. He has since been responsible for efficiencies in running the hotel that have immeasurably contributed to its feasibility.

Bompard joined Inns of Distinction in 1990. In his first decade with the company, Bompard served as General Manager of the Independence Park Inn in Philadelphia and then General Manager of the Best Western Westminster Hotel in Westminster, Md. owned by McDaniel College, two hotels managed by Inns of Distinction. He currently oversees multiple properties managed or owned by the Company.

Prior to joining Inns of Distinction, Thierry served as Food and Beverage Manager for four major cruise lines and held various positions at Hilton International, Pullman International and Le Meriden Hotels in Lyon, France and London, England. He was later hired to open the Safari Hotel’s most prestigious restaurant in Port-Gentil, Gabon.
